Ce qui est paradoxal avec Britney, c’est que sa vie personnelle est de plus en plus catastrophique, mais ses albums, eux, sont de mieux en mieux (et bizarrement, se vendent de moins en moins).

Toujours est-il qu’après l’excellent album In The Zone, elle a retrouvé l’année dernière les chemins des studios pour sortir le très-acclamé-par-la-critique album Blackout.
Piece of Me est le deuxième single (pas sorti en France). Le texte de ce titre n’a pas été écrit par Britney, contrairement à ce qu’on pourrait croire, mais elle y a bien évidemment ajouté sa patte.

Piece of Me a été élu 15e meilleure chanson de l’année 2007 par le magazine Rolling Stone. Les Inrocks qualifient le titre de « stupéfiant », issu d’une « luxurieuse jungle électro ». En même temps, elle a toujours eu les meilleurs producteurs de la planète pour elle. Le contraire serait étonnant.

Et pour finir sur Britney, elle serait à nouveau en studio, et aurait déclaré que le simple fait de chanter et jouer du piano lui manquait. Oui oui, Britney joue du piano.
